Modern ash baseball bats are characterized by thin handles and from a historical perspective they are very light weight. The wood Phoenix Bat Co uses for these bats is the best available. The Northern White Ash have a strong straight grain just like the pros use.
If you want serious "POP" off the bat then you want to be swinging a "Phoenix Rock Maple" bat. Rock Maple bats are harder than White Ash and will really send the ball flying. You can even hear the difference. The Rock Maple line is Phoenix Bat Co's biggest seller. The bats come with a pro cup so please advise if you want your bat uncupped.
